Dr. Chao Wang received the B.S. degree in agronomy from Shanxi Agricultural University, Jinzhong, China, in 2011, the M.E. degree in crop information technology from Shanxi Agricultural University, Jinzhong, China, in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree in smart agriculture from Shanxi Agricultural University, Jinzhong, China, in 2016. From 2016 to 2018, he was a Postdoctoral Scholar in Plant Protection College in Shanxi Agricultural University. Since 2018, he works for Agronomy College in Shanxi Agricultural University. Now he is an associate professor. In 2023, he visited the Rothamsted Research UK as a visiting scholar for one year. Dr. Wang has publihsed more than 60 papers in international and national journals and he is responsible for some projects funded by the National Key R&D Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His main research interests include the data assimilation of crop model and remote sensing, and the high-throughput field phenotyping, especially, on the quantitative genetics to facilitate the crop breeding program. He established the course of Introduction to Precision Agriculture in English.

Dr. Wude Yang received the B.S. degree in agronomy from Shanxi Agricultural University, Jinzhong, China, in 1983, the M.E. degree in crop cultivation and farming system from Shanxi Agricultural University, Jinzhong, China, in 1991, and the Ph.D. degree in ecology from Zhejiang university, Hangzhou, China, in 1998. As a former vice president of Shanxi Agricultural University, he contributed to the development of university, especially in teaching. Pro. Yang is the main person in charge the course of Introduction to Precision Agriculture which is authorized by Chinese Ministry of Education. Currently, Pro. Yang is interested in the precision agriculture and high-throughput phenotypes and he has published over 150 papers and conducted almost 25 fundings. He is also the founder of smart agriculture in Shanxi agriculture university and is famous in the field of precision agriculture in China. He is the main person in charge the smart agriculture major and the leader of provincial smart agriculture college.

Dr. Meichen Feng
received the B.S. degree in agronomy from Shanxi Agricultural University, Jinzhong, China, in 2002, the M.E. degree in crop ecology in crop cultivation and farming system from Shanxi Agricultural University, Jinzhong, China, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in crop ecology in crop cultivation and farming system from Shanxi Agricultural University, Jinzhong, China, in 2009. He is currently the vice president of the College of Agriculture of Shanxi Agricultural University. He is also the deputy chief expert of coarse cereal industry of Modern Agricultural Industrial Technology System in Shanxi Province, the member of the Agricultural Information Branch of China. Pro. Feng has been engaged in the research of crop ecology and information technology for a long time, presided over 10 projects such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, Key R&D Project of Shanxi Province, Key Project of Shanxi Province, et al. Pro. Feng has published more than 100 papers in international and national academic journals.

Dr. Lujie Xiao received the B.S. degree in computer science and technology from Taiyuan Normal University, Taiyuan, China, in 2003, the M.E. degree in cartography and geography information systerm from Shanxi Agricultural University, Jinzhong, China, in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree in crop information technology from Shanxi Agricultural University, Jinzhong, China, in 2019. From 2011 to 2023, she was a lecturer in University of Shanxi Agricultural, Jinzhong, China. Since 2023, she has been an Associate Professor with the intelligent agriculture in Shanxi Agricultural University, Jinzhong, China. She is the author of more than 10 papers in international and national journals and participated in many teaching and research projects. Appling the remote sensing technology in agriculture is her main research interests. Dr. Xiao obtained two patent achievements of winter wheat drought remote sensing monitoring classification index system and an accurate detection device for wheat and corn growth.

Dr. Xingxing Qiao received the B.S. degree in crop information technology from Shanxi Agricultural University, Jinzhong, China, in 2018, and the Ph.D. degree in smart agriculture from Shanxi Agricultural University, Jinzhong, China, in 2022. Since 2022, she has been a lecturer in Shanxi Agricultural University, Jinzhong, China. Her research field is the application of the spectral remote sensing on monitoring the soil quality. Currently, Dr. Qiao is interested in the quantitative assessment on soil carbon pool by using the multi-source remote sensing. She has published more than 13 papers in international and national journals and is responsible for some fundings.

Dr. Jingjing Sun received the B.S. degree in computer science and technology from Xiangtan University, Xiangtan, China, in 2006, the M.E. degree in bioinformatics from Xiangtan University, Xiangtan, China, in 2018, and the Ph.D. degree in crop information technology from Shanxi Agricultural University, Jinzhong, China, in 2022.
